A new look for a Suffolk-based personalised advice service for businesses has been unveiled. “Remedy” is the new name of IDP Consultancy Services Ltd, led by Ian Perry, who chose the name as it epitomises how they work.
“We are like doctors, meeting with a business owner and working with them to understand their problems and prescribe a strategy for improvement,” he explained.
After nearly twenty five years working in engineering and manufacturing companies, including at Board level, Ian took the opportunity to set up his own business advice company at the start of last year.
“As we are advising our clients to look at their own strengths and their competitors weaknesses during this time of recession, and to take the opportunity to raise awareness of what makes them great, we thought we should also follow our own good advice and invest for the future too.”
There are already business advice agencies that are ideal for start-up companies but “Remedy” helps established companies with turnovers of £1/2m – £3m.
“As we are hands-on we can actually go into a business and work with the owner so the advice is far more interactive and personalised. We can deliver as much or little as they want from a couple of days a month mentoring to a complete business rescue. By working closely with them to identify the best way to take the business forward, we can help them to prepare for the better times that we hope are around the corner.”
