Increased penalties for not paying National Minimum Wage

From 26th May, employers who don’t pay workers at least the National Minimum Wage face a fine of up to £20,000 per worker. This is a development of previous fines which used to relate to a group of workers. This now means the potential fine for not paying the full rate could be much higher.
