The Department of Environment and Climate Change (DECC) has set a deadline of  30th September for businesses to register for the emission cutting scheme – “Carbon Reduction Commitment”.

All businesses with a half hourly energy meter will be required to sign up to the scheme, regardless of whether they use the required energy spend (currently set at 6,000MW per year or roughly £500,000).
