Employers remain eager to offer employees a reward at Christmas time for all their efforts over the past calendar year but anecdotal evidence suggests that a significant number of employers are planning to cut or reduce expenditure on Christmas parties, lunches, bonuses or gifts and replace them with a more prudent offering.
