The Technology Strategy Board is to invest up to £2 million in feasibility studies led by UK small and micro businesses in technologies closely aligned with six focus themes:

•    Advanced Materials
•    Biosciences
•    Electronics, Photonics & Electrical Systems
•    High Value Manufacturing
•    Information & Communications Technology
•    Nanotechnology

Up to £25,000 of funding towards 75% of the costs of the feasibility project is available. Projects may be collaborative or carried out by a single company but must be led and undertaken by small or micro companies (50 employees or less).

Applicants need to move fast as the competition opens on 10th January 2011 and close on 10th February 2011.
